rhixseven

Pronounced ‘rhi-ex-seven’.

You’ve entered a fluff-free zone.

Fluffy dogs, yes. Fluffy work? No thanks.

If you’re looking for someone to help cut through the fluff, you’ve come to the right place.

Bonus points to you if you have a fluffy dog, but it’s not required.

I’m Rhiannon, an experienced copywriter, content marketer and photographer. I’m also a Harry Potter fan, coffee addict, and say ‘mom’ instead of ‘mum’.

I’m here to…

…help marketing and web design agencies and other creatives craft killer strategies and short and long-form copy for their clients.

…support not-for-profits, community organisations, and local businesses to plan and execute marketing campaigns that get results.

Hi, I'm Rhi. It's nice to meet you

I have over 10 years of experience in content marketing and copywriting, community engagement and events, journalism and media, spanning traditional finance and fintech, motorsport, not-for-profit and community-based organisations, and higher education.

I volunteer with the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers as the Business Presentation Event Captain, providing hundreds of university students with real-world business experience. My career highlights to date include live tweeting the Bathurst 12 Hour from the official Twitter handle, live pitlane reporting for a round of the Australian Motor Racing Series, and delivering the Albury Wodonga Business Awards.

Through a vast network of partners, I combine my passions for motorsport and helping regional Australian businesses and community organisations to thrive.

As a big-picture thinker, I can examine a project or initiative—from something as simple as a new landing page for a campaign to a large-scale digital content upgrade and migration—from multiple angles to identify opportunities, assess risks, and deliver results that create a positive impact.

I’m a team player and collaborative leader. I value integrity, thinking outside the box, and finding new and better ways of doing things. I strive to bring these values to life every day.

I hold a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from The University of Technology, Sydney and industry qualifications in digital marketing (General Assembly), content marketing (ADMA) and copywriting (ADMA).

If you need help with content marketing, copywriting, or brand and product photography for your clients, motorsport events, or community programs, please email rhiannon@rhixseven.com.au.

Who I work with

My core clients are agencies and other creatives who need support crafting killer long and short-form content for their clients. Copywriting is as much art as science and sometimes you need specialist assistance to get the job done.

I also help not-for-profits bring their content and marketing campaigns to life. I have many years of paid and volunteer communications and stakeholder engagement experience in these sectors. I love spearheading projects that leave a positive impact on our local communities.

One of my absolute passions in life is motorsport. I started volunteering in motorsport media over a decade ago. Now, I do everything from social media and media management to written and live broadcast race and event reporting and general news story writing.

How I can help

Copywriting and content writing

Emails, landing pages, social media copy and everything in between.

Blog posts, ebooks, press releases…all in a day’s (or maybe a little longer, depending on what you need!) work.

Copywriting services typically include

  • Briefing session
  • Up to two rounds of edits

Strategy

Your content marketing needs to take your business from A to B. A solid strategy is what gets you there. It’s the Google Maps to your road trip – ideally without the annoying “make a U-turn” announcement so you don’t miss the turn.

Strategy services typically include

  • A detailed discovery and briefing session to understand your needs and set your objectives
  • Ongoing coaching to help you stay on track
  • Implementation and delivery where required

Product, branding, and lifestyle photography

We live in a visual world. We want to see, feel and experience things before we make a purchase. Words are great for this. Words with images are even better.

Photography services typically include

  • A combination of studio and on-location shots
  • Edited and optimised final images for web and social
  • An unrestricted licence

  • Social media community management between rounds
  • Media communications including day or weekend wraps, general press releases and news articles

Getting stuff done

In 2023 and 2024, I led the marketing and communications strategy and campaign for the Albury Wodonga Business Awards, including two pre-awards events, organic social media, radio and print advertising, PR, and email marketing initiatives.

The 2023 program saw the highest number of entries in the history of the awards and a sold out sponsorship program, highlighted with Telstra as the naming rights sponsor.

We doubled these efforts in 2024, with twice as many awards entries as the previous year and more than double the number of finalists.

As communications manager, I worked closely with stakeholders, including AlburyCity Council, naming rights sponsors, Telstra (2023) and Optus (2024) and the awards steering committee. Our goal was to not only attract awards entrants but to meet multiple milestones along the way, requiring exceptional teamwork, collaboration and project management.

My work includes:

  • Campaign strategy, content creation and execution
  • Media and communications management – organising the well-attended media launches, drafting and sending press releases, and managing newsletters
  • Stakeholder and community engagement

When Justin Clancy asked Albury Business Connect to find a way to support mental health awareness within the local business community, Albury Business Connect turned to rhixseven to make it happen. The program offered free 12-month licenses for small to medium businesses and their employees to access the Leora.ai mental health and wellbeing app.

Over six months the digital and events led campaign has seen hundreds of free 12-month licenses snapped up. The campaign also garnered local and national media attention.

Campaign activities included:

  • Media launch and press release
  • Dedicated landing page to and multiple events to capture leads
  • Meta ads campaigns
  • Radio advertising

When the commercial features team at Australian Community Media need extra support, I’m one of the first people they call.

I’ve written a number of large projects, including the 2021 Wagga Wagga Gold Cup and Spring 2022 See Canberra feature, along with single articles since 2021.

On the ground and remote social media support for national racing categories and some of the biggest race events in the country.

I’ve helped to organise media opportunities broadcast around the world, contributed to weekend race reporting and driver interviews, and kept social media engagement between rounds.

I reached out to the team and asked if they would be interested in a complimentary photoshoot. They agreed, and we set to work on planning content.

I worked with their team to organise and plan a shoot day to capture their retail space, consulting room and compounding lab. We wanted to capture the nuance of their offerings, their beautiful and understated aesthetic and the science behind what they do.

I also wanted to test and push myself creatively, so we also shot at Juanita’s Beauty Secret Studio East location and at my home studio to play with light and styling.
