Rhixseven is a name I’ve been using for over 10 years for various social media accounts and usernames. While it started as fun play on my name and my car, I quickly realised that it embodies my story in a way I couldn’t have planned if I tried.
Growing up with a mechanic for a father meant everything was fixed at home, and I spent countless hours in the garage asking millions of questions.
I’m sure my mom still has a photo of me when I was about three years old standing on the bumper of my grandfather’s F150, peering into the engine bay while my dad was working on the engine.
When I was 10 years old, my dad bought a Mazda RX7. When I was 16, Mouse, as she’s affectionately called, was handed to me as my first car. With my dad’s help, we swapped the engine, replaced the interior, and repainted the whole car. Every bit of mechanical knowledge I have has come from those years and that car. Almost 20 years later, I still have Mouse. She’s a part of me and a part of my story.
When you are your business, there is no delineation between the two. Rhixseven is me. My business is me. When you choose to work with me, you get everything those formative years taught me about hard work, being passionate about what you do, and realising that all good things take time to build.
I have more than 10 years of experience in marketing, advertising, social media and communications.
I’ve worked across banking, finance, higher education, motorsport and community organisations.
I volunteer with the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers and my career highlights to date are live tweeting the Bathurst 12 Hour from the official Twitter handle and live pitlane reporting for a round of the Australian Motor Racing Series in 2022.
